Music for the People

The Ottawa-Carleton Choristers, under the leadership of Laurie Hamilton, with special guests the Ottawa Youth Harp Ensemble, under the direction of Mary Muckle, played to a full house Saturday night, May 29, at St. James United Church in the Glebe. I was honored to emcee the concert, which featured music from around the world. Congratulations to the current and former educators who make such beautiful music. Laurie Hamilton, is also the Head of Music at Canterbury High School. The Canterbury Chamber Choir recently won first place this year in the Mixed Youth Category in the National Competition for amateur choirs.
